Starting in early 2002, the Patsys released a trio of singles on their own Umbrella Records imprint. These singles, along with songs recorded for a planned fourth, were compiled and re-released in early 2005 as a full-length CD by the Columbus-based Anyway Records label.
Following the departure of guitarist Stewart Nicol, the remaining Patsys approached former Gaunt and New Bomb Turks guitarist Jim Weber. By late Summer 2005, the band was in Detroit to record a full-length CD with producer Jim Diamond.
